How much does coach hire cost?
Coach hire with a driver has no single daily rate: it is calculated for your route, dates and group. Here is what the price depends on, how to compare quotes and how to get an exact figure.
The short answer
The price of coach hire with a driver depends mostly on the number of kilometres and days, then on driver rest, tolls, parking and city fees, driver accommodation on multi-day trips and any driving at the destination. That is why we don't publish a price list: for every enquiry we send a quote for the exact route, with every item listed before you confirm anything. The quote doesn't commit you.
What the price depends on

Route and kilometres
The largest part of the price. The coach's total mileage counts, including the drive to the pick-up point if it isn't in Maglaj.

Number of days
A day trip, a weekend or a week on the road: the price grows with the number of days the coach and driver are booked.

Drivers and required rest
A driver may drive only a limited number of hours a day and must take set breaks. On long routes that means an overnight stop or a second driver.

Tolls, parking and fees
Motorways, tunnels, ferries, parking and coach entry fees in some tourist cities differ from country to country.

Driver accommodation and meals
On multi-day trips we agree the driver's accommodation and meals in the quote, depending on the itinerary.

Driving at the destination
If the coach stays with the group and drives it at the destination, on excursions or to hotels, those journeys are part of the quote.
How to compare two quotes
A lower price isn't always cheaper. Before you decide, check in every quote:
- Is the price for the whole route, including the return?
- Are tolls, parking and fees included?
- Who pays for the driver's accommodation and meals?
- Are there extra charges for waiting or driving at the destination?
- Which coach do you get and how many seats does it have?

Questions about the price
- Why don't you have a price list?
- Because two journeys rarely cost the same: kilometres, tolls and duration differ for every route. A quote for your route is more accurate than any price list.
- Is the price per person or for the whole coach?
- Coach hire is priced for the whole coach with driver, however many seats are filled. Divide it by the number of passengers to get the price per person.
- Do long trips need a second driver?
- Often, yes. A driver may drive at most 9 hours a day (10 hours twice a week) and must take a 45-minute break after 4.5 hours of driving. If the travel day is longer, we plan a second driver or an overnight stop.
- How far ahead should I book?
- As early as possible, especially for spring and summer. Shorter notice depends on coach availability.
